Welcome to Valerie Rosen's Professional Website!
“You can teach a student a lesson for a day; but if you can teach him to learn by creating curiosity, he will continue the learning process as long as he lives.”
~ Clay P. Bedford
AFTER 16 YEARS AS AN EDUCATOR, planning according to high academic standards, guidance with integrity and personal values, as well as, compassion for my students as human beings, remain driving forces in my approach to instruction. If you were to walk into my classroom on any given day, you would find much of the following: captivating colorful student work displayed on all walls; students engaged in interactive group discussions or projects; students collaborating with a partner; students working as independent thinkers; students giving oral presentations; or students focused on individual reading or writing commitments. I also, try to arrange for guest speakers and class excursions, as opportunities arise.
Under all circumstances, creativivity of thought and a strong sense of independent thinking is encouraged on a consistent basis.
